1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms govern your use of this website and the dog waste removal services provided by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME] ("BarkYard PDX," "we," "us"). By requesting a quote or receiving service, you agree to them.
2. What the service is
We provide weekly dog waste removal at a scheduled property. That is the only service we sell. On each visit we walk the serviced area, collect dog waste, and bag it.
Waste disposal
By default, bagged waste is disposed of on your property — in your own refuse bin or another location we agree on with you. Removal of waste from the property is available for an additional fee, quoted case by case. If you need off-site removal, tell us before service begins.
What is not included
- Deodorizing, sanitizing, or chemical treatment of any kind
- Landscaping, lawn care, general yard cleanup, or removal of non-dog waste
- Removal of waste from areas we cannot safely access
- Repair of pre-existing damage to gates, fences, or landscaping
3. Scheduling and access
You will be assigned a service day. We aim to arrive on that day each week but cannot guarantee a specific arrival time.
You are responsible for providing safe access to the serviced area — an unlocked gate, a gate code, or another arrangement agreed with us. By requesting service, you authorize us to enter the property for the purpose of performing it.
If we arrive and cannot access the area, we will notify you and the visit counts as completed for billing purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.
4. Dogs must be indoors
Dogs must be secured indoors or away from the serviced area during our visit. If we arrive and a dog is loose in the serviced area, we will not enter. We will contact you and attempt to reschedule.
You are responsible for your animals' behavior. You agree to be responsible for any injury caused by an animal at the property to our personnel, to the extent permitted by law.
5. Weather
We work in ordinary Portland weather, including rain. We may reschedule for conditions that make service unsafe or ineffective — ice, snow, high wind, or standing water. We will notify you and service the property on the next reasonable day.
6. Pricing and payment
Residential service starts at $55 per month for one dog, plus $10 per month for each additional dog, for weekly visits. Multi-family and HOA pricing is quoted individually based on the property.
Any price shown on this website is an estimate. Your final price is the one we confirm with you in writing after we assess the property.
No payment is collected through this website. Payment arrangements are made with you directly. Payment terms, accepted methods, and billing frequency will be stated in the written quote you receive before service begins.
7. Changes and cancellation
There is no long-term contract for residential service. You may cancel at any time by contacting us; we ask for reasonable notice before your next scheduled visit so we can adjust the route. Multi-family and HOA agreements are month-to-month and may be terminated by either party with 30 days written notice.
We may decline or discontinue service to any property, including for unsafe conditions, inaccessible areas, aggressive animals, or non-payment.
8. Satisfaction
If we miss an area on a visit, tell us within [X] days and we will return to address it at no additional charge. This is our sole obligation for an incomplete visit.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Oregon law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for service in the [X] months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited by law.
10. Website use
Do not use this website to submit false information, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, or submit automated requests. Website content and branding are our property and may not be reproduced without permission.
11. Text messages
If you choose text as your contact preference, you consent to receive service messages about scheduling and visit confirmations. Marketing messages require a separate opt-in. Message and data rates may apply; frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of any message type at any time. See our Privacy Policy.
12. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to resolve the issue. Any dispute not resolved that way will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version posted here at the time you request service is the version that applies. Material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated directly.
